I searched high and low to find a vest that was compact enough to not constrain my arms/shoulders. I'd seen Chris Heria's and it looked like the best option anywhere, but shipping to Australia was not practical. Thankfully I found Gravgear, and it's the same vest (but without all the cool colour options..). It's easy to setup and fits nice and snug. I did my first workout yesterday and I'm super happy. Let the gains begin!
Purchased this vest a few months ago now.
The quality is fantastic. For a vest the holds a decent amount of weight it’s quiet comfortable to wear even for long periods of time.
Really bad postal service with sendle. It’s going on 3 weeks and I still haven’t received the vest, even though I’m local.
Really gutted. The product looks awesome, but there’s no point contact with sendle or the grav team.
Sorry guys, not too stoked
Frequently asked questions
The better question is, what workout this is NOT for? Because we simply cannot find any workout that is not compatible with this vest.
Walking, running, jumping, squatting, push-up, pull-up, sit-up, handstand, calisthenics, CrossFit, HIIT, military-style training, yoga, and even sports like football and basketball.
The list goes on.
The only difference is 16kg is 5cm wider than the 12kg vest. Go for 16kg if you are looking for more challenge and more adjustment room. 12kg is good for those who demand a maximum range of motion thanks to its smaller size.
Our vest are designed to be unisex. It features adjustable velcro straps that allow it to contract or expand as needed for an optimal fit.
The Pro has more features the non-Pro doesn't have. Such as zero-rust weight blocks, metal Cobra buckles, waterproof pocket, reflective strip, and so on.
The Pro and non-Pro are using the same vest model so the dimension and fitting are the same.
In our actual testing, we think that 16kg is the best balance for both practicality and aesthetic. Adding more weight, the weight vest would be come too bulky and limiting range of motion. Plus, bulky vest doesn't look good on majority of individuals body sizes (we are fanatic about the outlook!).
We cannot comment on other brands weight vest since we have not owned and tested them, except for Decathlon Weight Vest. Our product is a result of continually improving and innovating, based on actual usage. We are constantly upgrading the details that might not be obvious to you. E.g, the belt used to be flimsy and soft, we've improved it to double thickness for better durability and security.
Option-One) Spray odor eliminator directly on the vest and hang dry.
Option-Two) Take all the weights out. Detach the bottom strap. Putting the vest in a washing bag of its size is strongly recommended for machine washing. So the vest will keep in position and the exposed velcro part will not damage other fabric parts.

The weights blocks
Use only a water-damped cloth to wipe the iron nuggets. Avoid using any chemical detergent to protect the coating.
Absolutely. Each weight blocks are 1kg so you can scale from 1kg to 16kg, at the increment of 1kg. You can also completely remove all the weight blocks for deep cleaning.
The soreness is the sign that your body starting to adapt to the extra weight it has never experienced before.
Just take the vest off when you are taking a break between training sets. After a few sessions, you should be complete the whole session without taking it off.
Not even a bit! Every weight ingots is sitting tight in its tailor-made pocket. With the heavy-duty strap around your torso and contoured shoulder strap, it becomes a part of your body throughout any movement.

Weighted Vest Upgrade Your Gains
The lesser the gravity has an effect on you, the stronger you are. It is simple as that.
So training with a weighted vest is reverse-engineering the process. You add extra weight during a training session for a period. After that, you will immediately notice two things: Your muscles are exhausted to a deeper extend, and you feel lighter the first moment without the weight.
Weighted training not only makes your body adapts to the extra weight by working harder. It also squeezes the most juice from your muscle to overcome the extra resistance. Bigger strength gain is the only way out here.
Break Fitness Plateaus
Strength progression is everything when it comes to bodyweight training. Sometimes it lacks a good progression exercise in the middle of two movements.
For example, people suggest you have to at least able to do 15 pull-ups in a row before attempting muscle-up. But the strength from the 15 pull-ups might not be enough and you can hardly move the number up anymore. This is when you need to add some weight to the routine.
Throw in a weight vest and continue the pull-up. Your number will drop at the start, keep at it until you can do 15 weighted pull-up (which is a great feat!). You are very likely to score your first muscle-up by the time.
Shorter Workout Time (More Efficient!)
For a person who has never tried a weighted vest before, just wearing one and sitting still is already tiring after five minutes. Heart pumping faster, breath more rapid, shoulder and core start to sore. This is the sign the body is triggered to accommodate the higher intensity you’ve put on.
Quality is everything in fitness. And intensity is the key to a quality workout. A weight vest is born for leveling up (any) workout intensity and saves you time. You can burn the same amount of calories while slashing half your workout time.
There is nothing wrong with a fixed weight vest, it’s just that you cannot adjust the intensity to your liking to suit your capability. Say you want to practice some weighted pull-ups, what you can do if you can’t manage the full weight just yet?
With adjustable weight vest: remove some weight from the vest and continue building fundamental strength for harder progression.
Become Part of Your Body
We want the extra resistance to moving along with our movement. It is supposed to become part of our body. It is supposed to attach firmly with a snug fit.
It should not wear you down before your workout does. It should also feel lighter when putting on the torso because of the fair distribution of weight. Heavy padding shoulder straps are the key here. So you can be vested for an extended period without the straps cut in the shoulders.
Versatility to All Workout
It is better to know what you are going to use the weight vest for, before investing in one. Why not get one vest and rule them all?
Grav weight vest is compact and short profile. It covers the upper portion of the torso, the abdominal section remains unrestrained. The minimal design also helps a great deal in heat dissipation.
It goes well with aerobic exercises like running and martial art, or high-intensity strength training like calisthenics and CrossFit.
Build to last a lifetime
Good training equipment should be your training companion for life. Premium material and lifetime support make sure our weight vest stands the best chance to last its longest lifespan.
That’s why we use Cordura fabric to enclose the thick TPE foam with a professional lining. You can train vigorously with the vest and it will still look almost the same even after years of usage (we’ve got a 2 years old vest that still going strong).
